March 2020 something completely unprecedented in human history – The country went into lockdown and turned the lives of many upside down, especially among the poor and vulnerable in our society.
The ‘EKA’ team in coordination with residents helped in various ways.
- Collection of Funds and Dry ration
- Distribution of Dry ration to poor people
- Creating a communal kitchen to cook food for daily wage workers
- Distribution of cooked food
Many residents volunteered with both their time and money.
