WHO WE ARE
Sandhya, Lagan and Fanthome, residents of Mehrauli decided to clean a garbage dump, that has now after two years of dedicated relentless work grown into full blown movement and a very beautiful park for residents of Mehrauli. ( See picture above )
The idea behind the inception of Ek Kadam Aage, is to create a platform for fellow residents of Mehrauli to engage in various civic activities and help make a better Mehrauli.
WHAT WE DO
With the help of stakeholders in the administration and citizens we have and continue to transform neglected areas of our parks and public spaces from inhospitable rubish dumps into parks that welcome families and children.
PLANS FOR THE FUTURE
After the success in the areas along the road, our aim is to initially clean more of the historical Mehrauli archaeological park and then venture to other areas of Mehrauli to begin with and then look beyond.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
From hiring men and machines purchasing materials for fencing, manure, plants etc we need resources to take forward this work that has been growing over the last two years. What started in a small area has now grown to …… sq Yards and with your help will grow even further. Volunteer here >>
